Just three short years ago I was in my tenth year of teaching high school mathematics and coaching football. And like most people, I was also living paycheck to paycheck.
I was happy with what I was doing, but deep down I knew I wanted more. More what? I wanted more time and I wanted more money. I knew together, those would get me what I wanted most of all – which was more freedom. I didn’t just want these things – I felt there was no reason I shouldn’t have them.
You see, I knew people who had made a lot of money, lived in huge, beautiful homes, and drove fancy cars. What was interesting was that I never saw much difference between them and myself. I never accepted the saying, “So, that’s how the other half lives”. I believed I could be part of that “other half”. Were those wealthy people really that much smarter than me? Were they really willing to work that much harder than me? The answer in my head was always, NO. So, I always kept me eyes open for a vehicle that would allow me to achieve my goals.
I attempted my first networking venture when I was 24 years old. It failed, and so did the next three companies I decided to work with. Hmmm, maybe this wasn’t going to work for me. At that point, I still loved the idea of network marketing, but my confidence in my ability to grow a successful networking business was a bit shaken.
Nevertheless, I began my Beachbody business in 2007 with high aspirations. There was still a part of me that was afraid that this would turn out like the other network marketing ventures I had embarked on, but deep down I knew something was different this time. Boy, was I right. In June of 2008, my wife and I submitted our retirement papers to the Clark County School District at the ages of 37 and 31. We had done it. We were earning four to five times what we were earning with the school district – but more importantly, we had earned back our freedom. We were then able to stay home together and raise our teenage daughter and our newborn son. We work on our business each day on our own schedule, and have plenty of time to spend together as a family.
In the summer of 2009, we set out on a mega-road trip across our great country. We travelled 25 different states and over 8500 miles. We visited Disney World, Washington D.C., Cape Cod, Niagara Falls, and Mount Rushmore – just to name a few of our destinations. A once-in-a-lifetime trip like this would never have been possible for us, if I did not keep my dreams alive and continue to pursue them.
If you have always felt that you deserved more, but you were never exposed to a vehicle that would allow you to accomplish your goals, then I recommend you give the Beachbody business a serious look. I truly believe that there is no home business out there today that offers anywhere close to what Beachbody offers.
